Arnold Schwarzenegger confirms return of ‘Terminator’
Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger has said that the Terminator franchise, which made him a global superstar, is gearing up for another instalment.

Schwarzenegger confirmed that the new Terminator film will be produced by James Cameron.

The former California governor said he had held meetings with Cameron to discuss the project.

“It is back. It is moving forward. He [Cameron] has some good ideas of how to continue with the franchise. I will be in the movie,” the actor told Screen Daily on the sidelines of Cannes Film Festival.

The last movie in the Terminator franchise was released in 2003. So far, the franchise has produced seven flicks.

Schwarzenegger also said that ‘Triplets’, a proposed sequel to 1986 comedy ‘Twins’, could finally see the light of day.

“The script will be finished in a month. It’s just around the corner,” he said.

He said Danny DeVito and Eddie Murphy will be starring in the project and that original producer-director Ivan Reitman will still be involved.

Schwarzenegger recently quit his role as host of ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’, blaming the show’s “baggage”, US President Donald Trump, for his withdrawal.

Trump, apart from being an executive producer, hosted the show for several seasons.

“With Trump being involved in the show people have a bad taste and don’t want to participate as a spectator or as a sponsor or in any other way support the show. It’s a very divisive period now and I think this show got caught up in all that division,” Schwarzenegger had said.

After taking up the role, Schwarzenegger was mocked on Twitter by Trump, and even further panned by the US president when the ratings suffered a dip.
