Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is ready to hand Abdul Baba Rahman a new chance.
TheDaily Mail says the 23-year-old Ghana international was poised to join Schalke on loan again but Chelsea have opted against it as they don’t want to rush his recovery from knee ligament damage.
Rahman, who cost Chelsea £22 million fromAugsburg in 2015, injured his anterior cruciate ligament in the Africa Cup of Nations against Uganda, though is close to full fitness.
However, Antonio Conte, with few wing-back options left, has decided to ease him back into action at Chelsea with the club’s Under-23 squad and evaluate his progress.
