Come Back To PDP, Bello Appeals To Aggrieved Members « The Pointer News Online

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ika South Local Government Area, Hon. Collins Bello, has appealed to aggrieved members who left the PDP due one reason or the other to come back to the party, saying that the umbrella is big enough to accommodate everybody.
Bello made the appeal in a chat with our reporter in Asaba. He pointed out that unity, peace and love among party faithful were not only necessary ingredients to move the party forward, but also crucial to achieving set goals of ensuring the victory of the party in the state and at the centre, come 2019.
The Ika South PDP boss who enjoined aggrieved members to bury the hatchet and return to the PDP family to form a formidable force to ensure the victory of Governor Okowa and the PDP in the state in 2019, said that there is no alternative to the PDP in Delta State.
He affirmed that the party was now more repositioned and fortified for greater exploits in future elections, saying that factionalization and divisive tendencies were inimical to the fortunes of the party.
He commended members of the party in the state, particularly those from Ika South Local Government Area for their steadfastness and commitment to the ideals of the PDP, stressing that all hands should be on deck to take the party to greater heights.
“We should be united and forge ahead as a strong and one indivisible family to return Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to Government House, Asaba come 2019.”
According to him, Governor Okowa’s achievements as encapsulated in the SMART Agenda in less than two years in office speak volumes as evident in the massive infrastructural development across the state, youth empowerment through YAGEP and STEP entrepreneurship training programmes, among others.
He said that returning Governor Okowa for a second term in 2019 was an invitation for more dividends of democracy and prosperity for all Deltans.
To this end, he urged Deltans to redouble their support for the governor in his determination to take the state to the next level, adding that “come 2019, there is no vacancy in Government House, Asaba”.
