FG comes for Olamide’s latest song Wo, says it promotes the dangerous habit of smoking

– Popular musician Olamide has drawn the ire of the federal government over his latest song Wo

– The ministry of health has come out to say his song promotes smoking

– It is not known if the song will be banned

Olamide’s song Wo may be the latest Nigerian hit song but in the eyes of the federal government and ministry of health, it is a danger to the public.

Taking to its Twitter account, the ministry revealed that Wo which featured a line were Olamide mentions cigarettes contravenes Nigeria’s laws on Tobacco advertising, promotion & sponsorship.

According to them, the video promotes a dangerous habit that encourages second-hand smoking. The risks from this include cancers, respiratory & cardiovascular diseases.
