Reports: Diego Costa To Make Shock Premier League Move

Default

Chelsea’s wantaway striker Diego Costa is said to be in line to make a surprise move to a Premier League rival.

The Spaniard has insisted he wants to leave the Blues, and has previously stated that the only club he will sign for is his former team Atletico Madrid. However, due to their transfer ban, Costa would only be able to sign permanently for the Spanish club in January 2018.

Now, according to the Daily Mirror, the attacker could be interested in joining Ronaldo Koeman’s Everton on a six-month loan before a potential move to Spain.

The Toffees are said to be keen on luring the striker to Merseyside, with their manager recently admitting the club are still looking for a forward.

Former Everton player Phil Neville also spoke about a potential swoop for Costa.

“I think he would be absolutely sensational at Goodison Park,” he told Sky Sports.

“Goodison Park is one of those venues that like a hustle and bustle centre forward.

“Someone that’s going to get angry. Someone that’s going to kick and bully the centre backs.

“He’s not going to go there because he wants to go to Atletico Madrid, but Everton have the money to attract that kind of player now.”

Costa has scored 58 goals in 120 matches for Chelsea so far, helping them win two Premier League titles along the way.
