Show Me Proof Where I Said I’ll Commit Suicide If Buhari Returns Alive – Fayose

The governor of Ekiti state and Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum, Ayodele Fayose has denied allegations on Social Media that he had promised to commit suicide should Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari return to the country.

President Buhari returned to the country on Saturday, August 19 after spending one hundred and three (103) days in London, United Kingdom on medical grounds.

The President’s plane landed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, Nigeria’s capital at 4.36pm.

ALEDEH recalls that the Nigerian President departed the most populous black nation in the world on May 7 for a follow up of his medicals in London, United Kingdom.

Before he left the country, President Buhari handed over to Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo who had being in an acting capacity in Buhari’s absence.

The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Mr. Femi Adesina, had revealed earlier in a statement that the President will return on Saturday.

Hours later, ALEDEH reported that the President was already airborne, we also reported when the President Buhari landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

President Buhari was received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja by the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, members of the Executive Council, the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno; the Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari; Presidential aides; governors of Bauchi, Imo And Bauchi State.

Surprisingly, few minutes after the photos of the President’s arrival flooded the internet, Nigerians took to various Social Media platforms, calling on Mr. Fayose to commit suicide over Buhari’s arrival.
