Outgoing Vice Chancellor of University of Lagos, (UNILAG), Professor Rahamon Bello, has commissioned the institution’s television station.

Speaking at the official commissioning, yesterday, at the institution, Bello said he was happy and fulfilled that the television station started operation under his watch, which no doubt is part of his success story.

He applauded the university management, members of staff, students and the entire university community on the milestone.

He advised the staff of television station to do their best and ensure the service provided is rated number one, in terms of content and delivery.

According to the chairman, UNILAG Radio and TV, Prof. Ralph Akinfeleye, the university was the first in Nigeria to be granted a license to operate a campus television station in West Africa. He further said that the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) granted it a TV license on November 9, 2017.
