General Manager, Sales and Distribution, GOtv, Akin Saliu, has said that the low-cost multichannel digital pay TV has through its subscription models, payment plan and affordable services launched many Nigerian families into the digital space.

Saliu, who spoke yesterday when he visited Rutam House, the Corporate Headquarters of The Guardian, alongside top management members of staff of the firm, said the GOtv had since its inception spread across 50 cities within 26 states across the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria.

He said the firm had not defaulted in its promise to offer the best of entertainment at affordable rates to its viewers since it joined the league of digital television transformation.

“We have helped to leapfrog many Nigerians into the digital space. We have assisted government in digitising. We have brought more people to watch high fidelity pictures and sound on GOtv, the best of local and international contents and we will continually delight our consumers. This October, we have three major initiatives to launch, we are not resting on our laurels, and we must continue to beat our chest to say we are number one in that market segment,” he said.

Saliu, who asserted that GOtv had recorded phenomenal achievements within its six years of operation, assured that the firm would continually overlook challenges of cost and focus more on new commitments to provide the best of entertainment.
